We also loved the location, as it was a great base for exploring both the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. The village itself was charming, with a playground for the kids just a short walk away. we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the Granary for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, even surprising us with delicious cakes. We also loved the nearby children's playground and the large football pitch. It was the perfect place to escape from the busy city life and create wonderful memories with our kids.

For families, it would be great if there were more outdoor activities specifically catered for children.

The Granary in Lydney had two bathrooms with a bath or shower, which was awesome! As a young person, I love having options for my morning routine. The rooms were comfy and had a homely vibe, making me feel relaxed during my stay.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the shower in one of the bathrooms. But hey, that's just me, others might still find it pleasant!
